2)      Ambuja Cement: The next player in line is Ambuja cement, operated by the Ambuja group. Established in 1983, Ambuja cement is the largest cement giant of Western India. Currently they have an annual production capacity of nearly 30 million tons. Ambuja Cement is also a part of the global cement conglomerate LafargeHolcim. Currently they operate five cement manufacturing plant and eight cement grinding units. Ambuja Cement first began their operations in the Indian state of Gujarat.
3)      Dalmia Cement: Established way back in 1939, Dalmia Cement is one of the key heavy weights of Indian cement industry, still going strong. Dalmia cement was established by eminent industrialist Shri Jai Dayal Dalmia. According to production capacity Dalmia cement is 3rd largest in India. Dalmia group offers products under the banner names of Dalmia cement, Konark cement and Dalmia DSP cement. Currently the brand runs thirteen cement manufacturing and clinker units. In India Dalmia cement is famous for the production of industrial grade cement, required for mega constructions such as oil well, airstrips, railway sleeper strips and bunkers. The domestic market of Dalmia cement is spread across twenty two Indian States, mainly in north eastern, south eastern and Eastern India.
